My sewing room has been moved to the Master Bedroom. It's only me in a 5-bedroom house so I moved my bed to the next largest room. This room is about 15'x16' so the longarm fits nicely on one wall. Why not? It's my house and can use the rooms however I want to! :-)
The cubbies are Ikea Expedit shelves that were in the old sewing room and the boxes are by Semikolon and come in lots of colors. I have the larger 5x5 cubbie shelves, dark brown, in my home office that I'll use for the rest of the fabric. I hardly ever go in that room except to get something off the printer. It doesn't get a lot of sunlight so that will be good for the fabric too.
Feels good to get things organized in here though it probably won't stay this clean for long!
The front of the boxes have a space to slip a picture or something into so used fabric in a brown and blue stripe. Also made a hanging holder for patterns.
Now to get to work on the projects that are in the boxes...

Putting together the Dresden Plate quilt
All of the "flowers" are done and the two strips between them with the leaves and stems are done. I am waiting on a delivery of more Bella Solids in bright white for the rest of the flower backgrounds.
The butterflies are fussy-cut out of the grey background fabric, a dozen of them or more, and sewing them on with a small satin stitch. I would like to quilt it in white, pink, black, and burgundy thread but don't know if my skills or my machine are up to that!
There is a motif in the fabric that I really like so I took a piece of it, scanned it, then outlined it using MS Paint. Will pay around with how much to enlarge it and make a quilting template out of it.
